Mid Century Modern Organic Lounge Accent Chair, Eames & Saarinen Style - Beige
The Organic Chair was originally designed in 1940 by Ray & Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen for the Organic Design in Home Furnishings Competition held by the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
The incredible genius of Eames couple in wood molding techniques and use of fiberglass, in collaboration with Saarinen's ability to adapt his style to diverse applications, resulted in the creation of the first of many chair designs to mold wood into complex curves and use cycle welding techniques to bond rubber and wood.
The Organic Chair, designed to mimic the natural sitting position features a high-grade molded fiberglass inner frame with polyurethane injected padding, soft woolen upholstery that has been hand-stitched onto the frame and solid beech wood legs.
This stunning design makes for the perfect reading, dining or Occasional Lounge Chair.
Our high quality, exquisite reproduction in regards to construction and original specifications is truly a tribute to the original design.
